The Starving Actor’s Guild presents a live read of the 1974 Mel Brooks & Gene Wilder classic script for YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN. The film is a parody of the classic horror film genre, in particular the various film adaptations of Mary Shelley’s 1818 novel FRANKENSTEIN; OR, THE MODERN PROMETHEUS produced by Universal Pictures in the 1930s.

The Starving Actors Guild is a non-profit and independently run theatre company. We specialize in staged script readings with little to no rehearsal. Mainly because the spontaneity is what makes our performances so much fun to watch.
